63. Martha A. WILLIAMSON103,169,185,186 was born in 1837 in KY, Hardin Co.. She lived with her father and stepmother Nancy Vanmetre Williamson in KY, Hardin Co. on 22 August 1850. She lived in TX, Dallas Co., Lisbon, Lancaster Rd. on 15 June 1880. This was 6-1/2 miles south of Dallas. Her brother Ephraim lived with them. Martha died in TX, Dallas Co.. She was buried in TX, Dallas Co.. Although her husband and 2 stepchildren, Rose E. and Thomas B., were shown on the 1860 census for Hardin Co., KY, Martha was not, although George and Martha's wedding date was Feb 1859.

Martha A. WILLIAMSON and George B. BURKHEAD were married on 6 February 1859 in KY, Hardin Co., Elizabethtown. They were married in Martha's father's house, and the witnesses were Jerry Shackleford, Adam Bird, and Martha's brother, Henry Williamson. George B. BURKHEAD104,169,185,186,187 was born in 1818 in KY. He lived in KY, Hardin Co., Southern Dist. 2 on 14 August 1860. Although George and second wife Martha Williamson were married in 1859, she is not shown with George on the 1860 census. On 8 October 1861 he enlisted in the CSA, Co. A, 6th KY Mtd Inf Resv Corps, Unit 1900, PRIVATE, Distinguished Service in the Civil War. At a convention located in Russellville, KY on 11/20/1861, Confederate leaders from 64 KY counties voted secession from the Union. The state was admitted as the 13th into the Confederate States of America on 10 Dec, 1861.
George had already enlisted on 8 Oct, 1861, but it is unknown where. The 6th Infantry Regiment was organized at Cave City, KY in November, 1861. Its members were raised from the counties of Nelson, Spencer, Franklin, Barren, Green, Allen, Anderson, Bullitt, Simpson, and Hardin, where George lived and had married in 1859. It became part of the Orphan Brigade or Louisville Legion.
He mustered in on 8 October 1861 in KY. He was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh on 7 April 1862 in TN, Hardin Co., Shiloh. His regiment lost 108 killed or wounded at Shiloh. George was wounded on the second day of fighting. He lived 6-1/2 miles south of Dallas in TX, Dallas Co., Lisbon, Lancaster Rd. on 15 June 1880. Also in the household was E B Williamson, Martha's brother. George died in TX, Dallas Co., Dallas. He was buried in TX, Dallas Co., Dallas. George and Martha came to TX after 1875, since their last child was born in KY in 1875.

On 15 June 1880 he was a farmer (probably of cotton) in TX, Dallas Co., Lisbon, Lancaster Rd. Samuel lived in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer on 7 June 1900. On 7 June 1900 he was a farmer (probably cotton) in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer. HISTORICAL NOTE: Wilmer is 14 miles southeast of downtown Dallas. In 1872 the community was originally called Prairie Valley. In 1884 the town was renamed Wilmer after a popular conductor on the Houston & Texas Central railroad, which had a stop in town. From 1890 onwards, Wilmer was a thriving agricultural community raising cotton to be shipped by railroad, and had a population of 100. By WWI the community grew to over 200. On 4 Jul 1929, a fire destroyed most of the business district.

Williamson, lived with them. He lived in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer on 7 June 1900. Also in the household was his brother-in-law, Luther Norwood. On 7 June 1900 Jonas was a farmer (probably of cotton) in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer. He lived in TX, Dallas Co., Pct. 5 on 28 April 1910. On 28 April 1910 he was a farmer (probably of cotton) in TX, Dallas Co., Pct. 5. Jonas lived in TX, Dallas Co., Pct. 5 on 2 January 1920. On 2 January 1920 he was a garage owner in TX, Dallas Co., Pct. 5. He died on 9 December 1921 in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer. Jonas was buried in December 1921 in TX, Dallas Co., Wilmer, Trinity Cemetery.
