50. Alexander WILLIAMSON71,147,148,149,151,152 was born on 12 March 1833 in IN, Knox Co.. He lived lived with his brother Benjamin in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn in 1840. He lived with his brother Blan in IN, Knox Co., Vigo on 27 August 1860. Alexander lived in IN, Knox Co., Vigo on 25 August 1870. He lived in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn on 21 June 1880. He died on 15 August 1884 in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn. Alexander was buried in August 1884 in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn, Sandborn Cemetery. Did not adopt his stepchildren, who continued to use their surname of Nierste . He was a farmer . After their parents George and Sarah died in the late 1830s, the children split into at least 2 households. Aaron and John lived together, while Benjamin took in James, Blan, Alexander, the youngest brother (unnamed), Margaret, Nancy, and Emeline. It is not known where the remaining unnamed brother and 3 sisters were, or if they were still alive. It is possible that the 2 oldest sisters were married, and the brother had left the household.

Between 1857-1859 occurred one of the 6 largest pandemic outbreaks of influenza known.

Alexander WILLIAMSON and Caroline (UNKNOWN) were married on 25 October 1875 in IN, Knox Co.. Caroline (UNKNOWN)149,151,152,153,154,155 was born in November 1845 in IN. She lived in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn on 21 June 1880. Possibly married for a third time to someone named Mayfield between 1900 and 1910 . Caroline’s first husband, Fredrick Nierste, died in 1873. Henry Nierste, who seems to be her brother-in-law, assumed guardianship of her children until she married or her children came of age. It is not known at this time how Fredrick Nierste died. After all the probate proceedings were finished, she married Alexander Williamson, with whom she had several more children. On the 1910 census, she is listed under the surname Mayfield. Either she married and was widowed again, or this was her maiden name. No records have been found to corroborate either way. She is, however, buried with her second husband, Alexander Williamson.

She lived in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn in 1900. Caroline lived with her son Albert in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn on 18 April 1910. She died in 1912 in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn. She was buried in 1912 in IN, Knox Co., Sandborn, Sandborn Cemetery. Had a son, Fredrick, who was born after her first husband died . Had a son, Albert, who was crippled, but still went to school .
